Blogs

the power of open communication...

Blogs are a recent introduction to the world of technology, and specifically of the Internet. In recent years, blogs and bloggers have gained widespread influence in a variety of areas, from politics to news to more abstract things like philosophy, spirituality, and art.

Reading blogs has become a major pastime for many more techies around the world, who use blogs as a way to find out about things that interest them as well as a way to interact with other people.

Blogs generally allow comments, and one blog will often link to another blog about similar things; and this allows for unparalleled interaction and open communication in informative media.

Most people who read blogs also create blogs. This enhances the open communication and linking that happens among bloggers, which greatly enhances the quality and quantity of information that is available.

Blogs can be created in a variety of ways. Many designers and coders who are more experienced in the use of code and graphics create custom designs and code them by hand. These are highly customizable, database-driven websites that are easily editable; and they include great amounts of features and possibilities for interaction.

Those who are less knowledgeable about design and code, but still have something worthwhile to contribute to the blogosphere, will often still create some or many parts of their blogs, but they may use a software package or template that is already created to handle the code for them.

These software packages often have fewer features and less customization, but still allow for easy creation of content and interaction with readers, among other things.
